About

My name is Holden Weber; I’m 27 years old living in Southeast Michigan. I am a husband and a father of four kids. I was born in Kansas to a single mom who eventually married my step dad and moved us north to the mitten state. I had a fairly normal childhood; nothing too out of the ordinary. I went to church, played football, wrestled, the typical small town life if you would. Dad worked for the pipeline and mom stayed home.

Fast forward to 17, I was tired of fast food and grocery store jobs already so I jumped on the first trade job that came my way. I was a flooring apprentice for a couple years until the business I worked for was ill managed and went under. I was forced to find employment quickly because I had a son on the way and no way to pay for him. My dad pulled some old favors and got me on with a chemical manufacturing company. Sure, it paid well. Sure, the work was stable and recession proof. But it wasn’t ever for me. There were lots of good and bad things. But the worst to me was having to be clean shaven every day. After 7 years of never truly feeling satisfied, I left.

I was able to find someone willing to pay me what I needed to be paid to get back in to the trades. I am now a full time journeyman flooring installer and full time beard and mens grooming enthusiast.

During all this time I got married to the love of my life. I know that sounds so cliche, but believe me. I had a crush on this girl in 7th grade… She finally gave me a chance at 22! I roped her in and managed to convince her to have some kids with me, buy a house, settle down. All the while she supported all my wild dreams. One of those dreams was woodworking. Trading and buying my way to a little garage wood shop, I finally had the tools I needed to make my dream come true. What would I make though?

Wood guns? Made those. Turned wood wands on the lathe? Kids loved them. Cute little things for around the house? Yup, those too. But I really found my passion when I made my first beard comb. Did it function? NO. It was horrible.. It tore out my hair and really bummed me out. I kept at it though. Which leads us to this website. I finally feel I created a product different than all the other combs out on the market. Something new, hand crafted, beautiful and functional. I hope you feel the same way.
